Alice Binder is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna since January 2023. Her research interests include persuasive communication, health communication, food placement effects on children, and effects of (political) targeted advertising. She received her Ph.D. in Communication Studies at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna in 2020 for her dissertation titled The Influence of Healthy Food Placements in Children’s Movies. Persuasive Mechanisms and Effects. She was already part of the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna from October 2016 to November 2021, both as a predoctoral and a postdoctoral researcher. Prior to returning to Vienna, Alice held a position as Senior Scientist in Christina Peter's team at the Department of Media and Communications of the Alpen-Adria-University of Klagenfurt.
