Kateryna Maikovska is a PhD student and a predoc researcher in the project Social Issue Emergence in the Hybrid Media System, supervised by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Annie Waldherr. In her PhD project, she uses agent-based modeling to explain the underlying logic of the social issues emergence on social media.

Before joining as a PhD, she worked as a predoc researcher in the project Online traditionalism with Nicola Righetti. Kateryna completed her Master's degree at the University of Vienna, and her Bachelor's degree at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
