Aytalina Kulichkina is a predoc University Assistant at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna, supervised by Prof. Annie Waldherr. Her research interests lie primarily in the area of political communication, media effects, and public opinion, with a focus on quantitative research methods.

Aytalina obtained her Master of Science degree (with distinction) in Communication Science from the University of Vienna in July 2020 with a thesis entitled "Effects of incidental news exposure on political trust: The role of national identification and system justification". During her second year of master's studies, she served as a teaching assistant at the Department of Communication. Additionally, Aytalina holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Peking University.
