In media entertainment research, our faculty analyzes the content and effects of non-political, entertaining media, such as movies, computer games, non-political social media, or edutainment programs. This spans areas such as entertainment education, the depiction and effects of history and historical topics in the media, the depiction and effects of of health-related products in entertainment media, body ideals on social media, or specific persuasive mechanisms such as humor effects.
