Brigitte Huber new Professor at IU Internationale Hochschule Munich

Starting March 1, she will be Professor of Marketing and Communication in Munich.

We are very happy to announce that Brigitte was offered a position as Professor of Marketing and Communication and will therefore join the IU Internationale Hochschule from March 1, 2022. Aside from continuing her research in social media, Brigitte will teach online courses in distance learning as well as part of dual studies at IU's Munich campus.

Brigitte joined our department in 2006 as part of the staff for the postgraduate program Public Communication (until 2009), and continued as predoctoral researcher from 2009-2013 (PhD: 2013). From 2013-2014, she worked as a researcher at the Department of Media and Communication (IfKW) at the LMU Munich, Germany. In 2014, she re-joined our department and since held a postdoc position, working mainly within the area of media change and innovation.

In addition to her research and teaching activities at numerous universities, she is furthermore qualified for the professorship through the necessary practical experience she has gained at various agencies: picha communications – Agency for Integrated Marketing, GfK – Growth from Knowledge: Konsum Analysen & Marktforschung (formerly known as FESSEL-GfK: Institut für Marktforschung), SORA – Social Institute for Social Research and Consulting and MISCHA – Medien in Schule und Ausbildung, among others.

The IU Internationale Hochschule is the largest state-recognized and accredited private university in Germany, with a total of 85,000 students.
