Best Book Award for Folker Hanusch

04.06.2020

A book co-edited by Folker Hanusch has been announced as the winner of the prestigious International Journal of Press/Politics Best Book Award.

The announcement was made at this year's virtually-held conference of the International Communication Association (ICA). The award honors internationally-oriented books published in the past ten years that advance our theoretical and empirical understanding of the linkages between news media and politics in a globalized world in a significant way.

Worlds of Journalism: Journalistic Cultures Around the Globe
was published by Columbia University Press last year, and reports the results from the Worlds of Journalism Study, which surveyed more than 27,500 journalists in 67 countries.

The book is edited by Thomas Hanitzsch, Folker Hanusch, Jyotika Ramaprasad and Arnold S. de Beer, and includes chapters from more than 40 co-authors, in a truly collaborative project.
