Jörg Matthes new Associate Editor of the "Journal of Advertising"

The Journal of Advertising is the current top-ranked journal in the field of communication.

Since June 2020, Professor Matthes is one of the appointed associate editors of the Journal of Adverting, one of the leading journals of our research field. For 2019, the Journal of Advertising is the top-ranked journal in the field of communication (92 journals are listed in total) with an Impact Factor of 6.302. It also ranks 12th in the field of Business.

Following this appointment, six Q1 journals in the field of communication are now being (co-)edited at our department: Folker Hanusch is the Editor-In-Chief of Journalism Studies, while Jörg Matthes holds the same position for Communication Methods & Measures. Furthermore, Hajo Boomgaarden and Sophie Lecheler are Associate Editors of the Journal of Communication (Boomgaarden) and The International Journal of Press/Politics as well as Human Comunication Research (Lecheler) respectively.
