Raffaela Gmeiner is a prae doc researcher working for the EU Horizon 2020 project CICERONE (Creative Industries Cultural Economy Production Network), focusing on the sectors cultural heritage, archives, libraries and audiovisual media. She has completed a Master in Communication Science and a Master in Musicology at the University of Vienna and is now writing her PhD thesis at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna at the department of Music Sociology. In her previous research, she has mostly focused on qualitative approaches and previously investigated the immense gender gap in the Austrian pop music scene as well as the problem of antiziganism in the Austrian media-landscape.
