Associate Professor Daniel Laufer, PhD MBA will join our department from April 24 – May 24 as Professorial Research Fellow. Dan Laufer is Head of the School of Marketing and International Business at the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He will present his work at our research talk series on May 15.
CV: Dan Laufer completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo (1991, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) and the University of Texas at Austin (1994, MBA). His PhD in Marketing and International Business (2002, University of Texas at Austin) dealt with "Product Crises and Consumers' Assessment of Blame: Is there a Liability of Country of Origin?" and was nominated for the university's Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Professor Laufer was Visiting Professor at various universities across the globe, notably in Mexico (Monterrey Tech University), South Korea (Korea University), Canada (University of British Columbia), Germany (Mannheim Business School) and also the US (State University of New York at Buffalo). From 2002-2006 he was Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Cincinnati. He took an Associate Professor position at Yeshiva University in 2006, before moving to New Zealand in 2012 on a tenured Associate Professor of Marketing position, which he still holds.
